Breast Uplift

There are many different types of cosmetic surgery that are available today. One of the
surgeries available to you is the Breast Uplift procedure. There are still people that
look for a similar procedure, the breast augmentation and do not realize that what they
really want is to have a Breast Uplift. With that having been said, let us take a look at what
exactly a Breast Uplift is and what benefits it has over the more common breast
augmentation.

The procedure known as Breast Uplift is no more than a reshaping of your breast tissue. The fact of the matter is that a woman's body does change shape throughout their life and that is also true of a woman's breasts. Whether it is due to aging or weight loss, or from having a child, some women may find themselves wanting a Breast Uplift to return their breasts to a prior state.

During a Breast Uplift procedure, a surgeon removes the excess skin around your breast to allow the breasts to return to a more perky position. In addition to the removal, there are also several small incisions made around the breast to allow the nipple and areola to be positioned higher on the breast. Although there are not as many risks for a Breast Uplift patient, there are still proper and improper ways to recover from the surgery.

The first thing about the recovery process that you need to be aware of is that you will need to spend two to three nights in the hospital following your procedure. Then once you return home, you will need to take a few additional weeks off of work to allow your body to heal. The following several weeks (usually advised at 6 weeks) you should refrain from heavy lifting or exercise. You will also want to wear a very supportive bra to assist your body in the healing process. Your stitches should be removed in 7-14 days following your surgery. Keep in mind that this is a surgery and all bodies heal at different rates but this is a general guideline.
